Early Baseball Figural Business Card Holder

Early Baseball Figural Business Card Holder

This early baseball figural business card holder is made of bronze and demonstrates stunning craftsmanship. There is a decorative etching on the flat part which holds the cards and the detail on the baseball player figurine which measures approx. 2” high is incredibly detailed for its size. The name DARCO is stamped in the bottom, perhaps to indicate the artisan who cast the figure and card holder. The aesthetic appeal of this piece is as relevant today as when it was made and because of the great craftsmanship can be used as it was originally intended, as a business card holder.
