Early Phil Housley Game Used Hockey Stick

Early Phil Housley Game Used Hockey Stick

Circa mid-to-late 1980s early Phil Housley game used hockey stick has a great all-around look. Victoriaville stick is for a left-handed shot with white cloth tape forming the butt end and black cloth tape over the blade. Stamped on the shaft is "P. Housley" while his number 6 is written above and again near the base in thick black marker. As is common, the tape at the bottom of the blade has eroded from wear, and a small gap in the wood is evident at the heel; while the fiberglass wrap has kept it in one piece, it appears (and sounds) as if it is cracked. Housley, considered by many to be the best American-born offensive defensemen in NHL history, was a 1982 first round pick of the Buffalo Sabres, and played for eight different teams in his stellar 21-year career, culminating with induction into not only the US Hockey Hall of Fame, but the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. With his 338 career tallies, Housley stands 4th all-time in goals by a defenseman.
