Eddie Collins Signed Album Page and Sporting News Postcard

Eddie Collins Signed Album Page and Sporting News Postcard

In 1914, Hall of Fame second baseman Eddie Collins was finishing up his first stint with the Philadelphia A's, and this Sporting News postcard is a colorful keepsake from that campaign. The signature on the off-white album page is in black fountain ink, rating 8/10 and large-signed on the reverse by Oscar Horton. The postcard appears to be in EX condition on the front but has back damage with paper loss. A lifetime .333 hitter, Collins had helped propel the A's to three World Series titles in the previous four years but was sold to the White Sox after the 1914 season.
