Eddie Mathews 1965-68 Game-Used Bat (34.75")
Feeling the density of Eddie Mathews' classic Louisville Slugger "S2" reveals one source of power in his Hall of Fame career. Mathews collected the dents in the mid-1960s, as he headed toward becoming the seventh player to hit 500 home runs. Raised striations in the wood enhance the rough-hewn feel. Carved signature is the more formal Ed Mathews but to admirers he was Eddie. Extra finish coats the handle. Make sure you don't let this classy artifact slip your grip. Bat dates between '65 and '68.
