On November 21, 1987 at the Las Vegas Hilton in Las Vegas, World Lightweight Champion Edwin "Chapo" Rosario defended his title against the great Julio Cesar Chavez. In an incredibly hard-fought and exciting match Chavez prevailed, winning by TKO in round eleven. Offered here are the actual fight worn gloves used by Edwin Rosario in this match. The gloves are red leather, eight ounce, Everlast gloves which have been marked inside by Jimmy Jacobs, Rosario's then-manager. Perfectly intact. A rare offering from this great champion. Comes with a letter of authenticity from Steve Lott (who worked with Jacobs) who took possession of the gloves immediately after the fight and with a video of the fight showing Rosario using the gloves while in the ring.
