Elvis Presley 1955 Signed Promo Photo

Elvis Presley 1955 Signed Promo Photo

“Love ya...” That’s what the King wrote just above his red pencilled signature which is on the reverse side of this early Elvis Presley publicity photograph. Hand signed “Nov. 6, 1955 at 9:45PM at the Community House,” probably by a fan who wrote: “property of Evelyn Gonsoulin.” Back in 1955, Elvis was already showing how super successful he was. He had recorded five songs for Sun Records and had gained some popularity in the South. In fact, Sun owner Sam Phillips teamed up Elvis with local guitarist Scotty Moore, who also hand signed this Elvis photo in black ink with the greeting, “Best of luck, Scotty Moore.” In fact, by November of 1955, Elvis had signed his famous and long lasting contract with RCA Records. And the rest is history. This NRMT 50 year old photo shows yellowing from aging and has some minor creases in the corners. But for fans of the early Elvis years, this rare photo is definitely a number one hit!
