Ernie Davis 1961 Syracuse Schedules (2)

Ernie Davis 1961 Syracuse Schedules (2)

After an All-American collegiate career that saw him take home the 1961 Heisman Trophy, The "Elmira Express," Ernie Davis, became the first African-American in NFL history to be drafted first overall. Tragically, his life would be cut short by Leukemia, which denied him playing one down of professional football. These EX-MT schedules come from that magical 1961 season. The 8" x 3.5" blue foldout features a game photo of Davis on the cover. The 2" x 4" mini-schedule has the Syracuse match-ups listed in blue font on orange cardboard.
