Erte Art Deco Signed and Numbered Bronze Sculpture

This Erte Bronze Bowl was acquired by Charlie Sheen in 1985, for which he paid in excess of $10,000. Piece is signed and dated on bottom, and is from a series of Erte's sculptures in bronze done in the mid to late 1980s. This work is referenced in a book entitled <i>Erte: The Last Works in Sculptures ,</i> by Eric Estorick, Dutton Studio Books, New York; 1991. It is erotic, the bowl is formed by a woman’s naked bottom, with a raised high deco image of a woman’s head and jewel encrusted headdress, on either side of the bowl. Bowl is on a turnstile, it can be moved on its axis. Measures 9” high and is in NRMT condition. The original paperwork on the piece has been lost over the years but piece is accompanied by a letter from Charlie Sheen.
