Exceptional Baseball, Football, Basketball & All Sports Photograph Collection (37)
This spectacular collection from a hobby old timer was culled over decades. Almost all are in original frames and/or original cardboard mounts. Some with damage to mounts, otherwise EX. Predominantly 19th and early 20th century, some with super original 19th century frames. BASEBALL (20): 1930s Minneapolis Millers, two St. Albans autographed by all players on mounts, huge 1960s MLB stadium birds eye view, the playing field next to the White House in DC (great!), early Cleveland Press team, and several 19th century (Lawrence imperial cabinet by Pach Brothers, Harvard, 1880s tie fronts, Harvard, and “Field Day” teams posed CdV). FOOTBALL (31): Group of 11 early mostly-college smaller format mounted photos including Harvard, several extremely large mounted photos (tinted Tioga Catholic Club, 1899 Horace Mann a Bronx Prep School by Pach Brothers & more), and average size (fab 1947 Notre Dame montage publicity still, gorgeous 1937 Yale montage, 1911 Pennsylvania Railroad). Plus, three imperial cabinets (29th century Pach Bros and McFarlin & Speck, plus 1914 by Kimball). Best of all is 1910 Lincoln U All-Negro team (mount damage). BASKETBALL (8): 1937 St. Mary's Industrial School where Babe Ruth played, 19th century men’s & women’s, awesome 1915-16 "YANKEES," 1927 Maine State Champions with "Skull & Crossbones" jerseys. ALL SPORTS (7): Spectacular 1871 lacrosse team hand-tinted albumen mounted photo.
