The man who was arguably the greatest second baseman in history - Rogers Hornsby - is front and center on this fantastic lot that spans the 1920s to the early 1960s, from his playing days with the Chicago Cubs to his coaching days with the fledgling New York Mets, one year before he died of a heart attack. There are 65 photos here, including many beautiful shots from the 1920s that could be lots themselves: Individuals, Hornsby with all his teams (Cubs, Browns, Giants, Mets, Orioles) and with many other immortals, including Hack Wilson, Gil Hodges and Jackie Robinson. Many of these are newspaper photos with captions attached and editing marks present. There's a 1939 Baltimore Orioles facsimile (from when they were a minor league team) signed premium photo, Bill Veeck & Miller Huggins shot and 1930 World Series photo. A terrific archive!
