The following items, all extremely rare and difficult to obtain, are from some of racing’s historic moments from the first leg of the Triple Crown, 1937-1989. Many famous horses are featured, including Triple Crown champions. Admission Tickets: 1) 1941 Terrace Return (Whirlaway). 2-3) 1943 General Admission & Club House Return (Count Fleet). 4-5) 1955 Full ticket for Club House Box Seat with Admission Entry Stub plus Outer Gate Check & Terrace Section (Swaps/Nashua). 6-7) 1957 Club House Box & Club House Return (Bold Ruler/Round Table). 8) 1964 Grand Stand Terrace (Northern Dancer). 9) 1969 Club House Box (Majestic Prince). 10) 1982 Full ticket including Entry Stub plus Outer Gate Check (Gato del Sol). 11) 1989 Club House full ticket with Outer Gate Check (Sunday Silence/Easy Goer) and Betting Tickets: A) 1941 - Three $2 win tickets on Our Boots (K800), Porter’s Cap (K801), & Little Beans (K808) won by Whirlaway. B) 1937 - $5 Straight (win) on the field horses (709). There were nine horses identified in the field of the 19 who lost to War Admiral. Note: For A and B, each horse in the program had an identifying number for wagering purposes in addition to the saddle cloth number. C) 1955 - $10 win ticket on Nashua. D) 1953 - Nine tickets on four competitors to Native Dancer: $2 win on #3, Correspondent (Arcaro), $5 show on #11, Royal Bay Gem (Combest), Two tickets each for $2 win, $2 place, and $2 show on # 2 Ace Destroyer (Jessup), & $2 place on #9 Straight Face (Ted Atkinson). All are in Near Mint condition.
