This rare Boston Braves Stadium seat is all original. No broken slats or missing pieces. Wood has original green paint, with some moisture damage evident but no deterioration to the seat. Braves Field was the last and largest of the first wave of concrete-and-steel ballparks built between 1890 and 1915. Built in 1915 with a capacity of 40,000. After the Braves left in 1953, Boston University purchased the property and the field is still used by them for sporting events today. The seat was removed from stadium shortly after the park was sold in 1953. The seat is in excellent condition.
