Famous Racehorses and Jockeys Each Prominently Featured on the Front Covers of Leading Thoroughbred Racing Publications (36)

The publications are the Turf & Sport Digest, Thoroughbred Record, Kentucky Derby Magazine, and the Blood-Horse covering issues from May 1935 through July 1984. All show Hall of Fame thoroughbred horses and jockeys except for three of the four Kentucky Derby Magazines.A) For the Turf & Sport Digest and the Blood-Horse, the following 27 issues are contained in envelopes: Count Fleet (6), Citation (5), Native Dancer (11), & Jockeys (5)-Sande, Woolf, Pincay, Shoemaker, and Arcaro (all Turf & Sport.B) Due mainly to their size, the following Thoroughbred Record 5 issues are stored in large archival protected pages: Count Fleet, Native Dancer, Affirmed, Buckpasser, & Citation. The Citation issue, May 8, 1948, is also housed in the original envelope from the publication.C) Although only one of four Kentucky Derby Magazines features a H.O.F. racehorse onthe cover (War Admiral 5/7/1938), the others were all issued on the days of the Kentucky Derby and eventual Triple Crown winners for 1935 (Omaha), 1937 (War Admiral), & 1941 (Whirlaway).All are rare, tough to obtain, and in excellent plus or better condition.
