This fabulous collection of programs features the mighty sire of Man 'O War. His match race with Seabiscuit will go down in the annals of equine as something that will never be replicated. There are six programs here: 1) 1937 Washington Handicap at Laurel. A gem from the first meeting between War Admiral and Seabiscuit, who was scratched at the last moment, but appears in the program. 2) 1938 The Widener at Hialeah Park (taped at top). 3) 1938 Belmont Park Program showing War Admiral on cover with caption "Winner 1937 Belmont." 4) July 27, 1938, The Wilson at Saratoga. 5) August 27, 1938, Saratoga Cup. 6) March 4, 1939, The Widener at Hialeah Park. Last day before final race of his career which was the next day. War Admiral "Winner of Widener 1938" on cover. Condition of the collection is overall EX with pencil marks unless otherwise stated. The three Saratoga programs are classics and extremely desired. All these were collected by one gentleman over decades and are all incredibly difficult to find. Here is the chance to get them all in one shot, an opportunity that will not be repeated.
