Finest Known 1939 War Admiral Pfeiffer Beer Litho Tin Sign
One of two of a wonderful matching pair of these signs that are in this auction. Condition-wise they are the finest ones we have seen, in 9/10 NM condition. Amazing full color tin lithography with a matte finish backed with cardboard and entitled "Another Winner Pfeiffer's Beer," the Detroit based brewery. 14x18". Lovely painted portrait of War Admiral with Kutsinger up. This iconic horse was a much needed Triple Crown Winner at a time when people needed hope. Artist signed, "Rusk '39," the brilliantly colored lithography is so beautiful it literally draws you in.
