First Ever MLB Night Game Display

Let there be night! The first major league baseball game to be played in the evening occurred in 1935 at Cincinnati's Crosley Field. Four years later, in the northern part of the Buckeye State, the Cleveland Indians played un der the lights for the first time, as illustrated by this framed display that includes a 4-corner mounted ticket from that July of 1939, The full stub has some minor creasing but is otherwise EX. The framed display, which inckludes newspaper account, photo and boxscore, measures 17x16".
