Four Rare John L. Sullivan 1889 Honest Long Cut N150 SGC Graded
N150 is a gigantic set of actor and actress cards issued under the Duke brands including Honest Long Cut. The cards are black-backed. There are four known cards of John L. Sullivan in N150, all deriving from his days as a touring "actor" (his primary stage work was sparring in exhibition bouts). All N150 Sullivan examples carry Honest Long Cut branding. As the cards are albumen photos, clarity of image is more important than technical grade. All are SGC graded. 1889 50 VG/EX 4, 1889 One Ear Shows 40 VG 3, 1889 With Top Hat 20 Fair 1.5, and 1890 40 VG 3.All nice grades for this issue. The backs are all blank.
