Fritz Brickell Single Signed Baseball

Fritz Brickell Single Signed Baseball

Fritz Brickell's bold blue signature spreads across the sweet spot of this off-white unofficial ball in 7.5-8/10 condition (grade reduction is only due to minor smudging in "Fritz"). In his brief 3-year career, Brickel played 41 games with the 1958-59 Yankees and the 1961 Dodgers. He died in 1965 at the age of 30 and his autograph in any form is exceedingly rare. Had someone asked us the likely hood of finding a single-signed ball of Brickell anywhere in existence, we would of, until now, responded with our doubt to such a possibility, but then until recently we had never seen the Jim Armstrong collection. So here it is! Procured by Armstrong personally long ago, it is not only beautiful; it is a true hobby rarity!
