Tremendous full length 8 x 10 Paul Thompson photo of the jovial "Uncle" Wilbert Robinson, circa 1920, supreme in his role as Brooklyn Dodger manager and wearing a catcher's mitt signifying his earlier incarnation as backstop for the legendary, pre-1900 Baltimore Orioles that also hatched John McGraw and Wee Willie Keeler. Robby's easygoing yet inspiring manner that took his teams to pennants in 1916 and 1920 can be seen in relaxed body language caught perfectly by Thompson, whose copyright stamp is on the back -- along with the very special embellishment of Charles Conlon's handwritten notes. Photo is VG-EX because of slight damage to the lower corners.
