Fusaichi Pegasus Stallion Horseshoe (Mounted)

Fusaichi Pegasus Stallion Horseshoe (Mounted)

A son of Mr. Prospector, Fusaichi Pegasus was considered a future superstar the day he was foaled. It was to no one’s surprise when he lit up the auction board, selling for $4,000,000 as a yearling, which proved to be one of the greatest bargains in history. Fusaichi Pegasus’ destiny for greatness came to fruition when he captured the 2000 Kentucky Derby under the twin spires of Churchill Downs. He would go on to win four major stakes races and earnings of nearly $2,000,000. Upon his retirement, the Kentucky Derby winner with regal bloodlines and stunning conformation sold for a reported $60 million to Coolmore Stud as a stallion prospect – a record at the time. This horseshoe (custom molded to provide relief to his aging foot) is mounted onto a solid cherry plaque adorned with a specially-designed aluminum plate featuring his career highlights and statistics. The horseshoe was acquired from Coolmore Stud’s farm farrier.
