George L. Kelly Signed Letter on New York Giants Stationary Dated 1926
A letter from George Kelly written to the Hillerich & Bradsby Co. is dated June 12, 1926 and is type written on New York Giants letterhead. The text of the letter favorably endorses the Louisville Slugger model bat the company has designed specifically for Kelly and in return bears his signature etched into the barrel of the bat. The letter is signed by Kelly in black fountain pen ink at the bottom of the letter and both the signature and the letter itself rate EX/MT. The letter is accompanied by a letter of provenance from John A. Hillerich iv stating that it originated directly from the H&B archives.
