Fascinating collection of nine photos (of varying size, but no larger than 6 ½ x 8 ½”) of Yankee star pitcher, George Pipgras, as he plays for his New York team, and hunts while at leisure. Interesting to note Pipgras’ transition as hunter from his days as pitcher to hunter in his days as a MLB umpire, as photos travel from 1927 to 1941. On verso International News Stamps, Examiner stamps, original paper captions and production notes.
