Though he was a native of Princeton, Indiana, Gil Hodges became one of the most revered sports figures in New York City history, first as a hard-hitting first baseman with the Brooklyn Dodgers and then as the tough-but-fair manager of the 1969 Miracle Mets. Hodges signed the 1969 "100 Years of Baseball Miracle Mets" FDC with a 9/10 quality in blue ink. The 1954 Topps card is signed in ballpoint pen and is 7/8 out of 10 quality. The card is VG.
