Gorgeous 1919 World Series Game Two Ticket Stub PSA Authentic
Based on its spectacular look, it's hard to believe that this ticket stub dates from the infamous 1919 "World's" (sic) Series between the Cincinnati Reds and the Chicago White Sox. Measuring 4.5x2", the bright orange ticket for Game 2 in Cincinnati has been neatly torn at the perforation with the slightest paper loss to the back. Printing remains very crisp and it carries a beautiful overall appearance; at first glance it looks EX-MT but has a few wrinkles (not breaking any paper) and back has some glue residue from being in a scrapbook. The Reds opened a stunning 2-0 series lead over the heavily-favored Sox with their 4-2 win on October 2nd, though history has noted that Chicago was, in fact, throwing the games for betting purposes, earning the name "Black Sox" and seeing eight players banned for life for their participation. Encapsulated as Authentic by PSA.
