Grover Cleveland Alexander's All-Time All-Star List
No one had more wins or shutouts in National League history than Grover Cleveland Alexander, with 373 and 90, respectively. This sheet of paper comes directly from the hand of the Hall of Famer, as he listed his all-time All-Star list. They include: Hal Chase at first base, Rogers Hornsby at second, Harry Steinfeldt at third, Honus Wagner at shortstop, Gabby Hartnett and William Killifer behind the plate, Zack Wheat in left field, Edd Rousch in center and Ross Youngs in right. The pitchers are Christy Mathewson, Nap Rucker and himself. He also scribbled a quick note at the bottom and signed it "Alex." There are photos of seven of the players he singled out, each clipped from a newspaper or magazine. The page is in NRMT condition.
