Hank Greenberg & Home Run Anti-Semitism (1938)
With five games left in the 1938 season, Hank Greenberg had hit 58 home runs. In those last five games, several pitchers chose to walk Greenberg rather than give him a chance to break Babe Ruth's single- season home run record of 60.
