Harry Hooper and Everett Scott Signed Baseball
Official Little League ball features Gavy Cravath & Jimmy Austin laterally on the south panel; Hooper and Scott also sit laterally across the North panel. Historians and collectors recall that Scott was not only the Yankees team captain, he also set the all-time consecutive game streak until Lou Gehrig passed him. Scott died in 1960 and his autograph on a baseball remains exceedingly challenging to collectors. Austin is the third baseman depicted in Charles Conlan's famed photo of Cobb's dirt-raising slide into third; Cravath was a dead-ball home run champ 6 times; and Hooper is a HOFer. What a group on a beautiful, cream-colored ball.
