Helens Wills Original Glass Plate Negatives (68 negs)
Fabulous collection of (22) Glass Plate and (46) regular negatives of one of the famous "Helens" of Tennis. All are 4 x 5'' and date from the 1930s. A few are viintage copy negs, but most are original negatives taken by newspaper staff photographers. About 30% picture her playing tennis, the rest are candid shots (with husband, arriving on a ship, etc). total 68 pieces. A few pieces are damaged, but the vast majority are EX-MT.
