High Grade 1965 World Champion Los Angeles Dodgers Team-Signed Baseball (PSA)

Presented is a high grade 1965 Los Angeles Dodgers World Champion team-signed baseball. The '65 Dodgers featured fantastic pitching, tight defense, and speed, and they went 97-65 to finish first in the National League. The Dodgers had little power, hitting only 78 home runs, last in the NL. Left fielder Lou Johnson and second baseman Jim Lefebvre tied for the team lead in home runs with only 12. The team hit only .245, with Maury Wills leading the regulars in batting average at .286. Wills was a tremendous offensive threat as he stole 94 bases. Dodger Stadium was at this time a tough park in which to hit, and the Dodgers great starting duo of Hall of Famers Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale made things even tougher for the opposition. Koufax, a lefthander, went 26-8, pitching 335.2 innings, with an ERA of 2.04. Righthander Drysdale went 23-14, pitching 308.1 innings with an ERA of 2.77. Drysdale helped out on offense, sometimes as a pinch hitter, and he was only five home runs away from the club lead as he hit seven homers in only 130 official at-bats, and he hit .300, and had the highest slugging percentage (.508) and the highest OPS (.839) on the team. The Official National League Ball (Giles) is NRMT, with crisp and clear labels. The ball has 26 signatures, and it includes all key signatures, including those of two Hall of Fame players and Hall of Fame manager Walter Alston. The signatures were made in blue ink from a ballpoint pen. Signing on the sweet spot are Hall of Famers Walt Alston and Drysdale. Hall of Famer Koufax signed on a panel. Also signing: Maury Wills, Wes Parker, John Roseboro, Don LeJohn, Ron Fairly, John E. Kennedy, Jim Brewer, Claude Osteen, Jeff Torborg, Lou Johnson, Lefty Phillips (coach), and more. The signed team ball comes with a full PSA Letter of Authenticity. The signatures average 7-8/10. This offering is a rare find as it is very tough to find a 1965 Los Angeles Dodgers team-signed ball in this condition.
