Hiram Bithorn Photographs from SFX Archives (5)
Hiram Bithorn was the first Puerto Rican to play Major League Baseball. This grouping of (5) photos from the SF Examiner archives date from the 1940's and 50's. They range in size from 5" x 10" to 8" x 11" and are in EX plus condition. One of the prints is of Bithorn with Charley Grimm and Claude Passeau. Another of Bithorn contains a caption detailing the events of his premature shooting death at the hands of a Mexican cop in 1952.
