Collection of 71 wire photos of which 62 are aviation and 9 are battleships and cruise ships. The latest era of the photos is the 1940s. Thirty-one are 1920s and 1930s, including many record breaking flights, famous aviators, innovative aviation technology and historic races of the period. Quality photography, with an eye for detail, the photos are crisp and clean with a typed news caption on the back. Includes the 1927 flight of Germania, Otto Koenecke's flight to the Orient, the first air and motorcoach service on the West Coach (1929), Bobbie Trout winning the woman's endurance test of 1929, Colonel Arthur Goebel's 1928 record flight for spanning the continent, 1933 National Air Races and many others too numerous to list. The remainder are 1930s and 1940s aviation of the US, England, Germany, Russia and Japan, mostly military flights related to WWII. Average size is 7x9" and condition VG-EX.
