Home Run Baker Signed Autograph Card (PSA 9)
Extremely rare full signature of "Frank Home Run Baker", graded "9 - Mint" by PSA. The Yankee and Athletics Hall-of-Famer had a .307 lifetime batting average and accumulated 96 home runs in 13 seasons, miraculous in the dead ball era. Sportswriter Grantland Rice put it this way: "if you desire one truth that is self-evident and beyond all rebuttal, you can stand by this - John Franklin Baker can hit." This off-white card has top and bottom borders of red and blue lines, a nice touch. The autograph is personalized to an early collector, "To James Elder", and measures 5" x 3 1/4". The card is creased, but this defect is visible only upon close inspection.
