Honus Wagner High Grade Signature (PSA MINT 9)
Exceptional Honus Wagner signature example, scripted in black fountain pen on an unlined sheet. PSA has encapsulated the sheet and graded the signature MINT 9. An additional blue-ink notation, reading "Pirates 1951,"is scripted (in an unknown hand) directly below Wagner's signature (the notation is badly faded and can only be seen under close examination). 1951 marked Wagner's final season as a coach with the Pirates and he died just four years later at the age of eighty-one. The sheet (3.75x2.25"), which has been trimmed to its current dimensions, displays a few tiny edge tears and light surface wrinkles. Excellent in its overall appearance.
