Empire City, NY nomination booklet for autumn 1953 stakes races.</p><p>B) Condition Books:</p><p>1) 1906 June meeting of the Coney Island Jockey Club. Clean with no writing (148 pages)</p><p>2) Morris Park 1890 NYJC spring meet with the Preakness Handicap (70 pages)</p><p>3) Summer meeting 1894 of the Twin City Jockey Club, Minnesota</p><p>C) Entry Slips:</p><p>1) Receipt #1647 dated 1904 from Benning Racecourse in Washington, D.C. to cover entry fees for entering Dixie Paradise in the Benning Handicap signed by famous executive & turf writer H.G. Crickmore.</p><p>2) Entry slip for the Brighton Beach Stakes of 1883. Actual winner was Lizzie Mack, ridden by James McLaughlin. The owner was W.R. Babcock, listed on the entry slip.</p><p>D) Souvenirs:</p><p>1) 1987 Jockey Club Gold Cup booklet</p><p>2) 1947 Churchill Downs & Kentucky Derby booklet</p><p>3) 1953 Kentucky Derby (Native Dancer) booklet</p><p>4) Santa Anita Park, 1938-9 magazine</p><p>5) Hialeah Guidebook, 30 pages</p><p>6-10) Hollywood Park, 1953 through 1957</p><p>Most are in unmarked, excellent condition. The exception is in the Morris Park condition book, in which cover is partially missing and has loose pages (no writing though).</p>
