HUGE Figural Guitar Wood Sign for The Official Elvis Presley Memorial Fund
This circa 1977 hand-painted wood sign in the shape of a guitar stood out front of the headquarters of the Official Elvis Presley Memorial Fund. From right after The King passed, it reads, "Official ELVIS PRESLEY Memorial HQ." Neck of the guitar reads, "Elvis Aaron Presley 1935-1977." Measuring approximately 65x25", this was the actual "Official" fund to build a museum in Memphis, Elvis' home. We found an article from Billboard magazine, announcing that, "The City of Memphis has announced a fund drive to build an Elvis Presley Museum and has invited Presley fans worldwide to contribute. Public service director Wallace Madewell says contributions may be sent to: Elvis Presley Memorial Fund." Has a great look and has splendid character.
