Important 1958 Grand Prix Sterling Silver Racing Trophy
Fabulous sterling silver lidded loving cup was presented to the first place winner in the General Classification. Elaborate beauty sits on a wood base and stands over two feet tall! Cup itself is engraved “Taca Engo. Arantes E. Oliveira.” The base has a silver plaque that reads, “XII Circuito Internacional Vila Real 13-7-1958 1st Classificacao Geral Sport Internacional.” Held in Vila Real, Portugal this race featured some of the top Grand Prix drivers of the day. Loss of paint to the black wood base, silver is EX-MT.
