The great Roger Bannister is captured in two separate photos crossing the finish line for the mile run in under four minutes. There are 2 small creases in the top right corner but otherwise a phenomenal image of history being made. The second photo taken August 7th, 1954 shows a side view of Roger Bannister's marginal victory over John Landy in the British Empire Games, with both finishing under four minutes. The photo measures 16" X 10 ?", with newspaper typed caption below photo. Minor creases surround borders and small one inch tear on bottom left corner but overall photo in excellent condition.
