Incredible 1947-67 New York Yankees Team-Signed Baseballs
The Yankees captured 15 pennants and 10 World Series crowns between 1947-67, and here are 16 team-signed baseballs from that highly successful era, all signed on Official American League, National League and unlabeled balls. They break down this way: 1947, 1952 (2, one with Phillies), 1956 (2), 1960, 1962, 1964, 1964 Yankees & Mets, 1965, 1966 (2), 1966 Yankees and Mets, 1967 and two '60s multi-signed. Includes (5) World Champion teams. Signatures include: Mantle (1952), DiMaggio (1947), Maris (10), Stengel (2), Berra (9), Hartnett (2), Howard (10), Ford (10), Murcer (2), Rizzuto (4), Barlick, Gil Hodges, Dazzy Vance, Duke Snider, Joe Gordon and other Yankee legends. These were mainly signed during spring training and the regular season, so some have players from other teams as well as minor leaguers. All have handwritten inventory numbers from the massive collection of John O'Connor and each comes in a Reach bag, some with Spalding boxes. There may be some clubhouse signatures but none for any of the major stars. A small few have a light coat of shellac. The conditions average 5.0, with signatures averaging 7.0, some being better, with an average of 25 signatures per ball.
