Jack Lang's 1947-1957 Brooklyn Dodgers Score Book Collection
A full decade of Dodger blue exists within these 16 “MacGregor” scorebooks, bound with leather covers and neatly scored - some for an entire season’s worth of games! All done completely in the hand of Jack Lang, who covered the Dodgers until their exit from Brooklyn in ’58 for the <i>Long Island Press</i> (afterwards, the <i>Daily News</i>). These official books are filled out in their entirety, with the date, location, and lineups of each team (even the umpires, and stadium attendance are listed!) starting from the all-important ’47 season (Robinson’s rookie) through to ’57 (last season). One is actually pencil signed by Robinson, Reese, Snider, Koufax, Hodges, Drysdale & Newcombe. 1950 is filled out to capacity - the entire regular season up to and including the pennant race. A full decade of Brooklyn Dodgers’ games documented in these official scorebooks, filled out in pencil by one of the most faithful fans in history. Each measures approx. 5x8”. Overall VG-EX to EX.
