Magnificent pewter copper statue of a golfer following through on his shot off the tee was sculpted in 1978 and looks a great deal like Jack Nicklaus. Heavy statue is flecked gray and gold and there is superb detail from the wrinkles on the player's clothing to the belt buckle at his waist to the tassels on his shoes. You can see the strain his weight shift places on his knees under the trousers. Club is made of metal. Figure rises 16.5" atop a copper base engraved with "Austin Prop. Inc. 1978" on the back. Entire piece is mounted on a thick wooden block measuring 6 x 10". Piece is NRMT with very scattered specks and scratches.
