Jackie Robinson Triple-Signed 1939 Pasadena Yearbook
One of the greatest athletes of his or any day, Jackie Robinson was a four-sport star while attending Pasadena Junior College in California, excelling in baseball, football, basketball and track. From that 1938-39 academic year comes this yearbook that features some of the earliest signatures from the Hall of Fame legend, including: "BEST WISHES JACKIE ROBINSON" on his football photo, "JACK ROBINSON" on his basketball Photo and "JACK" next to another basketball shot. Signatures average 8 or better in strength, and the book is signed by others. It remains in EX=MT condition and comes with a PSA/DNA. The subject of last spring's hit movie "42," Jackie went on to star at UCLA and in the negro leagues before breaking baseball's color barrier in 1947 with Branch Rickey's Brooklyn Dodgers. Though he only played 10 major league seasons, Jackie Robinson batted .311 and left an indelible mark as a civil rights icon.
