James Naismith Signed Type Written Speech
A rousing eleven page speech given to the Society of Woman's Clubs by James Naismith praising the hard work of mothers and beseeching them to continue to support their men in war time. On the last page, he has written” Read at Pittsburg before the State Society of Women’s Clubs. At the conclusion a memorial was adopted which had previously been drawn up by a committee of the Women’s Clubs of Laurence…. Etc.” and signed "Jas. Naismith 1917." Signature and writing grade 8/10 while pages are EX with two punch holes at the top of each.
