Janis Joplin Handbill Find (12)
An amazing collection of 12 different concert handbills - all Janis Joplin with Big Brother from the period 1966 thru 1969. Includes 5 from 1966; 4 different shows at the Avalon Ballroom - June 3 & 4, July 15 & 16, Nov. 13 and Dec. 9 & 10. Also from 1966 is a great handbill for a concert held at the Monterey Fairgrounds July 2 & 3. From 1967: one is for the Continental Ballroom in Santa Clara - July 14 & 15, & the other Tamalpias Theatre in San Francisco on April 18. From 1968: Hemisphere Theatre in San Antonio and the Folk Rock Festival at the Santa Clara Fairgrounds - May 18 & 19. The last one is a Southern Comfort whiskey bottle for a 1969 show at the Houston Coliseum on Oct. 19. They vary in size from 5x7” to 9.5x12”. Condition varies from VG to Mint, averaging EX.
