Jean Sibelius by Yousuf Karsh
Vintage photograph by this preeminent world portrait photographer. Circa 1941. This is one of the few vintage prints of his trademark work extant. Depicts the Finnish composer Jean Sibeluis in this amazing contrast of light and shadow. It rests in its original vintage matte & frame. The back of this gallery print is perfectly stamped "Copyright by Karsh" with his Ottawa, Canada copyright. At bottom center is written in Karsh's own hand "Jean Sibeluis." Karsh's prints sell for up to $50,000. Photo itself is 11x14", vintage frame overall 16x19". EX-MT.
