Solid brass plaque of 1996 Hall of Famer Jim Bunning, pitcher with the Philadelphia Phillies 1964-67 and 1970-71. This mesmerizing plaque once hung in Veteran’s Stadium, home of the Philadelphia Phillies. Bunning pitched the only perfect game in the team's history (against the Mets) in 1964. Bunning, now a U.S. Senator from Kentucky, was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1996. The brass plaque has an 8 1/2" high image of Bunning (bust) and raised lettering on a black painted background. The plaque measures 12" wide x 15 ?“ high x ?” thick and weighs approximately 14 lbs. There are four holes drilled in the corner for mounting bolts, and manufacturer's stampings and chalk marks on the back. The plaque is in VG-EX condition. The plaque was purchased from the auction of Veteran's Stadium in 2004.
