Joe Cronin & Stan Coveleskie Handwritten Letters
While head of the Veterans Committee, Cronin penned this letter of response (7.5”x11”), dated May 7, 1978, to a fan inquiring about the Hall of Fame eligibility status of his favorite players. The blue ink is dark and the closing signature grades an 8.5/10 on paper that is EX+. Coveleskie’s handwritten letter (5.5”x8”) to “Roger”, most likely a soldier in Vietnam, is type dated on the reverse “March 1968”. The black ink and signature are an “8.5” out of “10” and the stationary is EX+. Includes 8”x10” photo of Cronin and Hank Greenberg at their HOF Induction Ceremony, EX.
