1951 represents an important year in New York Yankees history. Not only did the Bronx Bombers walk away with one of their many World Series victories, but the team also underwent a proverbial changing of the guard. Joe DiMaggio played his last season that year for the Yanks, and when he retired the torch was quickly passed to a young rookie named Mickey Mantle. Presented is a gorgeous 16" x 20" photo, capturing both legends during the 1951 season. The remarkable image has been signed by both New York superstars in splendid Sharpie marker. Mantle's exceptionally bold script rates a full 10 out of 10 in strength, while DiMaggio's signature is a shade lighter and rates a 9. The photo is handsomely matted and framed to an overall size of 23.5" x 28", and is ready for display.
