John Belushi's Signed 1975 ASCAP Card
John Belushi, then an obscure comedy performer signed to be in a new NBC satirical revue show called "Saturday Night Live," went through the ritual of getting himself this 1975 ASCAP as one of the show's writers. Little did Belushi or anyone else know the sensation he would become, or the shooting star that would burn out all too soon because of his self-destructive habits. At the time, the squat, rubber-faced Belushi had achieved underground status for his "guerilla comedy" with Chicago's Second City troupe and in National Lampoon projects. By the end of '75, he was one of the most familiar faces in America. The still-revered Belushi's highly desired signature on the card is in thick black ink and one of the best around. Signature is NRMT and card is VG.
