Johnny Cash & Country & Western Collection
"The Man in Black" is fondly recalled with this special collection of Johnny Cash memorabilia. First a 1968 concert poster featuring Johnny Cash and Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks. The poster is orange, brown and white and measures approximately 8 1/2 x 11". It depicts a man in traditional western garb drinking a cup of coffee and smoking a cigarette by the campfire. Three copies of a different poster for the same show feature a cowboy with a beard riding a carousel horse and smoking a pipe. The poster is green, blue and gold and measures approximately 11" X 14". A "souvenir folio" from a concert signed by Cash and two members of his band is next. The cover has a profile of Cash wearing a white jacket. Cash signed "To Ronnie, your pal Johnny Cash" in blue ink. The signature rates an "8.5" out of a possible 10. The folio has many candid pictures of "The Man in Black" including photos with his first wife and two children and pictures with his manager, Bob Neal. Next is a lovely concert program measuring approximately 8 1/2 x 11" features color drawings of Johnny Cash on the front cover and a photo of June Carter Cash on the back cover. Also highlighted in this program were The Statler Brothers, The Carter Family, Carl Perkins and The Tennessee Three. Next is a beautiful on site concert poster from Cedar Rapids, Iowa featuring Conway Twitty and the Lonely Blue Boys as well as Sonny James and the Southern Gentlemen. It measures approximately 14 x 22" and dates from 1969. Finally, a 1971 site poster for a concert featuring Crystal Gayle and "The Hagers" from the hit TV show "Hee Haw". It measures approximately 17 x 27" and features photos of all the artists performing at the show. Average condition of this impressive collection is EX-MT.
