Johnny Evers 1914 Boston Braves Photo by Charles Conlon

HOF second baseman Johnny Evers had already won two World Series with the Cubs and been immortalized in Franklin Adams' poem "Tinkers to Evers to Chance" when he was traded in 1914 to the Boston Braves. This typically brilliant Charles Conlon photo was taken when he was working for Paul Thompson. While wrinkles and a weary grin creased his face, he still led the Braves to a World Series victory and earning the Chalmers (MVP) award. 5 x 7" photo is a rare gem with Thompson's copyright stamp and handwriting by lens legend Charles Conlon on back NRMT.
